Reclaim Yourself.
Life can pull you away from who you are. Trauma, anxiety, burnout, chronic pain, and life's challenges can leave you feeling disconnected from your body, your mind, and yourself.
At Reclaim, Amy offers a holistic, attachment-aware, trauma informed approach that draws on somatic and nervous-system-led practice — helping you gently reconnect with your body, regulate what's been on high alert, and find your way back to your true self. Together we build a safe, attuned space where healing isn't about becoming someone new, but about coming back to who you've always been.
"Learning to accept your true self, embracing your strengths and weaknesses without judgement."
I came to this work through my own journey — and I bring it to others now.
I trained to become a somatic therapist after first studying and practising trauma-informed care over a decade ago. My trauma-informed work led me to nervous-system regulation work, which sparked a curiosity to learn more, and I discovered somatic therapy. I knew, after my own experience of having somatic therapy, that I could only ever then envisage myself becoming a somatic therapist.
For years I worked in high schools alongside young people. What I kept seeing, over and over, was a profound absence of felt regulation, and how behaviour is so often a communication of unmet needs. The young people I worked with knew the language of feelings. What they didn't know was how it felt, in their body, to be safe — that safety is something a nervous system learns, built through consistency, attunement, and someone steady enough to stay.
I work with you at your pace, curious about what the nervous system is showing, taking the body and the story together rather than apart — with trauma, anxiety, burnout, chronic pain, low self-esteem, and the in-between seasons of life. There's no script. We start where you are, and build from there.
That's what somatic therapy encapsulates for me: a belief that we all have the ability to find joy, peace and clarity in this world, and that I can help guide you there. — Amy
Slow. Curious. Nothing to push through.
Somatic therapy is less about analysing the past and more about noticing what's happening, right now, in your body. A holistic approach — nervous system, body and story, held together rather than treated apart. Sessions are led by you, and guided by myself in a flexible, intuitive way. You won't be asked to talk about anything before you're ready. Exercises and processing techniques are tailored intuitively, as each person is different and requires a thoughtful, attuned approach.
We start with safety
Every first session begins by finding what already feels okay — a sense of ground, a steady breath, a place in the room your eyes want to rest. We build from there.
We follow what the body offers
A tightness. A held breath. A wave of warmth. Whatever shows up, we make room for it — slowly, in small doses, with curiosity instead of strategy.
We let things settle
Healing isn't a breakthrough. It's a nervous system learning, gradually, that it's safe to come down. Sessions end with rest, integration, and time to feel the shift.
A short, honest list.
Trauma & complex trauma
Including developmental, attachment and relational trauma. Slow, titrated, body-led.
Anxiety & overwhelm
The buzzing, the racing thoughts, the not-being-able-to-land. We work with what's underneath.
Burnout & nervous-system fatigue
When rest doesn't restore you. When the body has been on for too long.
Chronic pain & tension
Persistent pain that holds story, history, or no name at all.
Relational difficulty
Patterns in connection — closeness, distance, the moments that always go sideways.
Life transitions
Loss, identity shifts, becoming a parent, leaving something, the in-between.
Begin where you are.
Most people start with a free 30-minute call, then a single session. Packages exist because nervous-system change tends to happen in arcs, not single moments — but there's no pressure to commit before it feels right.

What actually happens in a session?
We talk, but more slowly than you might expect. You'll be invited to notice sensations, breath, posture. We might pause often. Sometimes you'll do small movements; sometimes nothing at all. Online sessions work the same way. Sessions end with quiet integration time.
Do I have to talk about my trauma?
No. Somatic work doesn't require you to retell or reopen anything before your system is ready. A lot of the work happens through the body, not the story.
Is this the same as massage or bodywork?
No — sessions are talk-based and you stay fully clothed. There's no physical touch in online sessions, and in-person sessions only ever involve touch (such as a hand resting on a shoulder) with your explicit, ongoing consent.
How many sessions will I need?
It really depends. Some people come for a season, some for a year, some on and off for life's transitions. We'll talk openly about what makes sense for you and revisit it as we go. You're never on the hook for more than you've booked.
Do you work with young people?
Yes — under-18s are welcome with the written consent of a parent or guardian. My background is in high-school and care-system work, and I'm enhanced-DBS-checked.
What's your cancellation policy?
More than 48 hours' notice: full refund or reschedule. Less than 48 hours: 50% fee. Life happens — we'll always find a way through it.
